I pray we fight for something more, we have a greater mission than keeping ourselves alive.

Tearing back the veil, I see the scars that never healed
My distanced pasts is worn on my flesh
Scars rise in the sorrow that I've caused
I stand before the judge of all

I am a criminal but I've been extended grace, the chance to have scars taken away.

I used to think I was king ruler of a kingdom fixed on wisdom, inventor of a greater order.
I used to think I was enlightened, master of a realm even GOD could not contend.
How far I've wandered I hold my heavy head in shame, my kingdom's in disarray.
This is where I find myself, my will is broken lead me to healing.

This grace is for all, your scars can be taken away.
I can't find the strength to forgive myself, how can you forgive me?
Once my wings are healed, I will fly away, into the presence of God.
